We collect as little as we can. No ads, no ad trackers, no selling of data.
Who is responsible

What we collect
- Listening progress and saved items: which pieces you started, where you stopped and what you bookmarked, so you can pick up where you left off. Today this is kept on your device and in an anonymous record; once you have an account it is linked to it.
- Account data, when you subscribe or create an account: your email address and your subscription status.
- Purchase data: Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, processes your payment. Paddle collects your billing details; we never see or store your card number. Paddle tells us your email, plan, country and payment status.
- Answers you give in a quiz on quiz.orjin.co, such as the topics you want to follow, to show you a personal plan.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) kept briefly by our hosting provider for security.
Why, and on what legal basis
- To provide the service and your subscription: performance of a contract.
- To keep the service secure and working: our legitimate interests.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations: legal obligation.
- To send transactional emails (sign-in links, receipts, important account notices): performance of a contract. Marketing emails only with your consent, which you can withdraw any time.
Who processes data for us
- Paddle.com: checkout, payments, invoices, tax, refunds (Merchant of Record).
- Supabase: database for the catalog, accounts and listening progress.
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery and security of our websites and audio.
- Resend: sending transactional emails.
Some of these providers process data outside Türkiye and the EU, under the safeguards the law requires (such as standard contractual clauses).
Cookies
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. app.orjin.co sets one strictly necessary session cookie that keeps you signed in. Your browser's local storage keeps your progress and reading settings on your device.
How long we keep data
Account and progress data for as long as you have an account, then deleted within 30 days. Purchase records for as long as tax law requires. Server logs for a short period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. To delete your account and data, email support@orjin.co from the address you use with Orjin; we respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye, the KVKK Board).
Children
Orjin is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will post updates here and change the date above; material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
